Lindsway Bay Beach Near St Ishmaels | One Of Pembrokeshires Hidden Locations

Lindsway Bay Beach

Lindsway Bay Beach, near St Ishmaels, is one of Pembrokeshires hidden locations.

The beach is located on the southwestern part of the Pembrokeshire coast on the Milford Haven Estuary.

This quiet beach, although a little tricky to get to, is nothing short of FANTASTIC!

It is surrounded by high cliffs with huge fallen boulders around its edges, yet harbours a stunning sandy beach.

Access To The Beach

There is no way to park near the beach; you will need to walk down to it. There are two main ways to get to the steps down to the beach, and both are approximately 20-30 minutes with a steady walking pace.

The first is to park up at the ‘car park’ at the gate that prevents vehicles accessing the route down to the Great Castle Head Lighthouse, just of Bicton Road.

Alternatively, you can pass the St Ishmaels Sports & Labour Club and head to Watch House Bay and walk around the Coastal path.

When at the beach, you will need to walk down steep steps and climb over boulders at the point of entry to the beach. This can be seen in the video above.

People who struggle with steps/stairs or people with pushchairs/prams may find this problematic.

On The Beach

Lindsway beach has reasonably shallow waters, clean sands and large boulder formations.

On the western part of the beach, at low-tide, it is possible to pass through into another small beach and Wenall Bay. However, be VERY careful not to get cut off with the incoming tide, or you are in serious trouble!

This beach is tranquil, and it is often possible to have the beach to yourself!

For boat enthusiasts, varying types of ships can be seen coming in and out of Milford Haven Waterway.

The beach is dog friendly and surrounded by beauty, which is visible in the video above.
